NEW JERSEY NATURAL GAS OFFERS FREE ENERGY CONSERVATION PROGRAM FOR SCHOOLS AND MUNICIPALITIES

Wall, NJ – New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) is helping schools and municipalities in its service territory to See The Light, offering a free energy conservation pilot program to 30 schools and/or municipalities within its service territory.

The See The Light energy awareness program, developed by KCG Energy LLC, is a behavior-based energy-efficiency solution that helps schools and municipalities reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint by introducing energy-efficient best practices and instilling a culture of conservation among employees and students.

With the See The Light Energy Toolkit, schools and municipalities can save energy and money – right out of the box. Each kit contains tangible tools and online materials, including energy benchmarking software, a how-to handbook, energy tips, posters and training resources for students and staff. By using the Toolkit, schools and municipalities can adopt proven energy-efficient best practices that reduce waste and help improve their bottom line. Plus the kit can help identify which measures may be eligible for valuable incentives from New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program^TM.

See The Light has additional value for Sustainable Jersey^® municipalities. School districts that enroll in See The Light and successfully meet Sustainable Jersey’s requirements for the action will be awarded 10 points towards certification for their municipality.

Interested school districts and municipalities within the NJNG’s service territory may be eligible to participate in a See The Light pilot program at no cost and receive the toolkit for free (a $999 value).
